On a sunny day, you're as likely to find me outside hiking, kayaking, and playing with my dogs as in an office. I'm lucky to work near beautiful places where it's easy to share the healing aspects of nature with my clients. I am also a longtime mindfulness meditation and yoga practitioner and strive to bring a mindful approach to my work as a therapist.

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), and a Certified Professional Counseling Supervisor (CPCS) in the state of Georgia. I am also an ICEEFT Certified Emotionally Focused Therapist and Supervisor, and a National Certified Counselor (NCC). I hold a B.A. in Journalism, an M.A. in Counseling and an Ed.S. in Professional Counseling & Supervision. I have also been credentialed as a certified School Counselor in Georgia.

My professional background includes family therapy, college counseling, substance abuse treatment, adolescent residential treatment, rape crisis advocacy, and sexual abuse treatment. In addition, I am a certified Montessori elementary teacher and have experience teaching at both the upper elementary and middle school levels. My own children's education included a combination of Montessori schools and homeschooling.

My professional affiliations include the International Center for Excellence in Emotionally Focused Therapy (ICEEFT), the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT), the American Counseling Association (ACA), the Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP) Institute, the Association for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Issues in Counseling, and the Association for Contextual Behavioral Science.

We offer in-person services for couples, families and individuals at our offices in Alpharetta (located at 11807 Northfall Ln., Suite 901) and teletherapy for couples, families and individuals across Georgia.
